The song peaked at No. 6 on the United states of america Hot Christian Songs chart, becoming their second Top 10 single from that chart. It lasted on the charts for 33 weeks, their second longest charting song.[5] The song is played in a B-flat major key, and 172 beats per minute.[half dozen]

Groundwork [edit]

The primeval version of "Practise It Again" was released on September 9, 2016, as role of the extended play titled Speak Revival.[7] The live version of "Do It Once again" was and then released on February 17, 2018, during the pre-gild flow of There Is a Cloud, every bit the 2d promotional single of the anthology.[8] [9] It was recorded during the 12-twenty-four hours "Code Orange Revival" outcome in September 2016,[ten] held by Elevation Church at its Ballantyne campus in Charlotte, Northward Carolina.[11] "Practice It Once more" impacted Christian radio on Feb 23, 2018, with an extended play containing the radio, live, reprise, acoustic and Spanish versions of the vocal released on the same twenty-four hours.[12]

Writing and evolution [edit]

Worship leaders and songwriters Mack Brock and Chris Brown had an interview with Kevin Davis in Reading, Pennsylvania for a 'Behind the Vocal' feature published on NewReleaseToday.[thirteen] Mack Brock shared that the song was inspired past a sermon titled "Don't Stop on 6" that Steven Furtick preached at a Hillsong Conference, whereby Matt Redman identified a song concept.[thirteen] Chris Brown, in relation to the vocal'south takeaway bulletin, said "Nosotros want people to know that God is faithful."[thirteen]
